Annual meeting of St. Petersburg group of Russian National Committee on Automatic Control was conducted at Elektropribor on January 27, 2020. Its participants included the representatives of the city research, educational and academic institutes such as St. Petersburg University, St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University LETI, State University of Aerospace Instrumentation SUAI, St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, ITMO University, St. Petersburg Institute for Informatics and Automation, RAS, and Institute for Problems in Mechanical Engineering, RAS.

The participants have discussed the scientific conferences of the previous year where the Group members were actively involved. There were 11 conferences in 2019, with more than 2 000 Russian and 200 foreign attendees. The largest of them were the 26 th St. Petersburg International Conference on Integrated Navigation Systems with 293 participants, the 22 nd Conference of Young Scientists on Navigation and Motion Control (389 participants) and the 11 th St. Petersburg Interregional Conference on Information Security of Russian Regions (507 participants).

The meeting participants have considered the list of events planned for 2020 and supported by the Group. The most prominent will be the 18 th European Control Conference, ECC 2020 to take place on May 12 – 15, 2020 in St. Petersburg. It is one of the largest events in the field of automatic control theory organized once every three years in Europe, and conducted in Russia for the first time. All the papers have passed international peer-reviewing and will be indexed in Web of Science and Scopus databases after the conference.

Along with these, the following conferences will be organized with the participation of the Group members: 2020 IEEE Conference of Russian Young Researchers in Electrical and Electronical Engineering (January 27 – 30, 2020, St. Petersburg), International Workshop on Navigation and Motion Control (September 28 – October 2, 2020, first conducted in Samara), and The 4 th Conference on Stability and Control Processes named after V.I. Zubov (October 5 – 9, 2020).
